Non-GMC Trailer Question

Hi all. I've been toying with using my GMC for primarily local trips (i.e. under 500 to 1000 miles), and getting a second travel trailer as a back up
for much longer trips. This way I can tow it with my pickup truck and have a little more enjoyable (and reliable) drive on real long trips.

I was thinking about looking at some used Airstreams, but they are pretty pricey. Does anyone have any recommendations on brands and what to look
for? I would like to find something that is in the 15 to 30 foot range, and will be similar to our coaches.

Brian:

Lots of options, but plan budget for a Hensley Arrow or a ProPride hitch.

If you’re towing, even with the largest pickup trucks, you will notice the difference, and appreciate the added safety.

Hopefully, you have an integrated brake controller that utilizes information from the yaw sensors, it makes for a much more pleasant experience towing.

Look for one with good steel chassis frame and welded aluminum "house" frame. In "hail country" such as Oklahoma, also go for fiberglass shell!
