All these "no GMC content" postings are really messing up an otherwise
excellent technical discussion group. Why don't you guys conduct your
quips on private email???

Sorry you feel that way Gary. I kinda enjoy the odd attempt at humor on an
otherwise very serious list.

The few messages are easy enough to skip in reading if your email was not
tongue in cheek.

I just thought I'd speak up as another point of view, just in case.

Can't be serious 'all' the time, and there's really just a tiny bit of that
fluff floating around :-)

Amen...

BTW, thanks to the suggestion made a few days ago I now have a Radio Shack
outdoor digital termometer monitoring the inside of the 'puter.

Has a min/max setting and an alarm. It's driving me nuts at the moment as
I'm trying to get the temparature down after putting the sides back on.
Another one of "what's normal".

The lead is long enough so that I have the gauge velcro'd to a cabinet. Easy
to see from the pilots seat.

Cheers

I strongly agree that non-technical content is not only OK but necessary.
We are not just participating in a techinical content BB, but are in
addition building up relationships between many of the posters with a common
bond-- the GMC motorhome. How would the black list have happened if we just
wanted to post technical questions and answers? When you start to lay down
all kinds of rules about how and why one posts, you stifle the commraderie
of the Gaggle(what was that word Arch for squirrels?). Life is to short to
regiment our fun time. I vote to let people have fun.

I guess I was just having one of my "senior moments". I stand corrected
and agree that some good natured fun is vital to one's health. Actually
were it not for the fun, the many serious moments of owning a GMC would
be catatonic.

Gary, I have to disagree with you. I enjoy reading all the personal
comments and other non GMC post. If, by chance, something is posted that
does not interest me, I just zip right on past it.

I suppose that is what you do with all the "redneck" jokes I send you?

To be honest. Sometimes when I read my GMC messages and I'm in a hurry, I just
click DELETE! Some of the "No GMC content" stuff is gone as well as the stuff I'm
not worried about. It only takes a few seconds. But when I have the time, I'll
wade through it all.

So it doesn't bother me if there is an occasional joke. I read some of them and
delete the others!
