Hello All,
I remember when the classic GMC motorhomes came out (I was in High School). My dad liked them too... I was recently driving from Ohio to NC when I passed one of these rare gems motoring down the interstate, with my head on a swivel! And remembering just how we marveled at them in the day.

That weekend I went on line and started an earnest search for one of my own, contacted a hand-full of owners, then found a 76' "Classic Glenbrook" with 77K miles that looked pretty decent and satisfied with the price. Tires have dry rot and the airbags are bad. Ordered new tires and airbags. I've contacted Todd Sullivan (going to buy his kit).

Planning on bringing this gem into this century, with appropriately mechanical improvements, tasteful updates, and nice finishes. I'm looking forward to participating in some of the rallies, and seeing what others have done.

The plethora of information here and other places on the internet is staggering! Looking for ideas with respect to incorporating a nice ham station in the coach. Now to come up with an appropriate name for this new beauty...

Cheers,
Don (ki6sz)

Don,
Before you get too carried away, Be a member of the communities and ask question. There is a lot that can be done for/to them, but you have to ask what is the ROI on some of them.

So, join GMCMI and a local chapter just for starters. If you read the contributions on Farce Brook, please be ware that some that wrote there do not have any meaningful experience with the TZE.
