The rule is, if you didn't do it yourself, or if there isn't credible paperwork, it didn't happen. That being said, these engines run a long time if
they're properly cared for. If it isn't the proper color,
it was likely replaced at some point.
Were are you? Check the Black List, there's likely an owner close by who might help you inspect.

Cheryl,

Welcome to the group.

You did not mention a location. While that does not matter a lot, you should, both read here a lot, download a copy of the "Black list" (named for
the creator) so you have access to pre-made old friends, and look at the list of local chapters.
That last you want to do for two reasons:
First is to get to a rally in striking distance so you can see some running coaches.
Second is to hook up with the community because, as you just found, the good ones go fast.

Lastly, I hope you are ready. They may be old, but these coaches are not inexpensive to run. Fact is that they are often less cost than a recent
build bought as used. But unless you are real lucky, there will be expenses when you acquire any coach.

When you get one, be sure to come back here and tell us. Then, join GMCMI, (requires you join FMCA) and a local chapter. This will not be expensive
and just joining GMCMI will be a good ROI.
