I ducted mine. Mad a difference in noise. Was running Carrier low profiles.

Chris I think the reason your ducted ac was quieter was because it was a carrier. I found the ducted Dometic penguin in a sob to be almost as noisy as
the older Dometic sun chaser non ducted. Too bad the carrier was discontinued.

And yes it looks like Atwood has been bought by Dometic, the Atwood AC /Heat pump can be found in the 2016 Dometic catalog
