New radiator suggestions

I would go with the aluminum radiator (I did about 9 years ago). All new and very efficient at keeping your coach cool.

I recently saw one of the new ones Applied sells and was very impressed at the construction. It has a much improved flow pattern around the
transmission cooler than the Griffin I have, which has the outlet almost blocked. It doesn't seem to affect the cooling ability, but it sure looks
like it should.

I have bought one of the aluminum radiators on eBay. The "normal" price is $720 plus shipping ($86 to Oklahoma from Michigan), but the seller periodically knocks the price down 10% to $648 where the price is right now.

Per conversations with owners the Aluminum is better. All have reported very stable engine temps and seems to claim they work very well.
But a Re-core is cheaper. Gmc's have been running with stock radiators for decades.

The recore is less expensive. Ask your shopto use a high efficiency core. I've had two done with good results.

I have found that when one steps up to a larger capacith core, the air flow
is restriced more, so the fan clutch can engage more.
The origional capacity has worked well for us.
One day , we will test the Aluminum radiator air flow as I have a suspision
that the restriction is less.

I re-cored mine in 2003. The price for standard core rebuild was $280 at the time. I chose to go with 3/4 tubes on 9/16 centers, which cost me
another $300 on top of that for the special order. Aluminum was not an option at the time. Very happy with the results. Have not had a single
overheat issue since and I am running stock on everything, i.e. stock original engine, water pump, trans cooling, no vents, etc.
