Ours did that rather routinely when fueling, due to a
plugged vent to the front tank. It would sometimes occur up
to 30 seconds after the gas pump had stopped.

Never had it burp before fueling though. Could a plug to
separator or vapor recovery account for that much pressure?

Dam tanks!!!.....
Gotta be in the vent sys., Separator/Canister, Lines. And I know you don't
want to say that other word. Hope its the easier one's!! And on the gas
coming back up at you, Maybe your fuel fill line's, Overflow line is
blocked-up, holding some fuel init due to the blocked vent system? And when
you opened it. Just a thought, The fuel line seems to big/long to hold gas
init.
Know you'll get it. Been doing some great work!!! And giving me some great
lessons on Photopoint.

Arch - be aware that there are two kinds of "vented" caps. One gives
an open path to the outside. The other will vent off a vacuum by
allowing air to enter the filler neck but it is a one way valve that
will prevent fumes from going out to the atmosphere. This would
prevent a vacuum when the fuel cools in the tank but it will also
allow pressure to build up when the fuel in the tanks heat up.
