Hello all.
Being new to the list, I would like to offer a short story which may be of
some help. After suffering problems with the o-rings blowing out on the
dash panel rotary valves in our 73 Canyon Lands, we ordered new rotary
valves to replace the ones in the dash in case the new o-rings failed
"again". Much to our surprise, 500 miles from STL, the right side
deflated, the o-ring didnot hold. We decided to just replace the valve
then and there on the side of the road...unfortuneately, the new vlaves
had a different sized air line holes on the back...Cinnabar did not point
out the difference or offer the adaptor kit. Our 16 year old son had the
solution...take the old valve and new valve apart...and use the old back
half with the new front half(where the valves actually meet the dial).
Since then, the plan has worked like a charm!
Also..we spent five days at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington Kentucky.
The campground guide features a drawing of a GMC on the cover. Our son
suggested that we get a discount because our GMC was on the cover of their
guide!
