Susan -- I'll go out to the motorhome and look it up for you if no
one else has replied about this by the time I get back on the net.
In general its about 7000 pounds on the four rear wheels and about
4000 pounds on the front two wheels depending on what equipment you
have and how its loaded.

As a new owner the very first thing that you should do is to buy
the GMC Motorhome Maintenance manual for your model year. You can
get this from Cinnabar.

You should also get acquainted with a few sites on the internet.
Gene Fisher's site http://www.california.com/~eagle/ is a great
one to start. He has a great deal of info. He also has links to
many other sites.

Patrick's site http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/tech/index.html also has
a lot of info. The GMCnet is Patrick's baby. On Patrick's site you
can also get to the archives of the GMCnet. Download the archives
and browse them for good info.

Billy Massey's site http://www.web-access.net/~bmassey/ and there
are many others. Scott Adohen, Heinz, Henry Davis, Nate, Arch,
Darren, etc. Check out the links and also the info being posted on
the GMC Net.

You should probably also join the Family Motor Coach Association and
GMC Motorhome International and buy all the old GMCMI bulletins.

Don't hesitate to ask questions. Even if you feel that it is
elementary. We've all been through this and someone will probably
have an answer for you. Sometimes you'll get several answers that
are different. That's the beauty of this group. We all have our
opinions and each of us as individuals doesn't always have the best
answer. Sort it out and come to your own conclusions on what it
right for you.

Where are you located? We can advise about GMC local chapters of
FMCA in your area. Going to a local rally is a great way to not only
meet other owners but to see what others have done to their GMC.

Welcome to the wonderful world of GMCing.

Susan - as I was sending my last reply I noticed your name as
Nuevomexico.aol. Does this mean that you are in NM?

Don't be afraid to ask questions. You will get many answers all the time .
You will even get to the point that you may be able to answer a few as well.
Lot's of help here, you came to the right place.

Welcome, Susan to the world of GMCs and their lunatic owners!

A 1975 GMC Gross Vehicle Rating is, I believe about 11, 500 or 11,750.

Your coach may weigh a lot more and the best advice one can give to a new
owner is to have your coach weighed before you start to load it up. If
you have the resources available, have the coach weighed at each wheel.
