New owners. You must have the dipstick fluid level at add. Cold at idle.

If you have the fluid level on full cold. At idle. You run the risk of having fluid come out the trans vent that's on the top of the trans. Then this hot fluid will end up on your very hot exhaust system. Many of us put a 90 degree hose fitting in place of the vent cap. Then run that hose toured the ground. Having that lower end. Just below the exhaust system. Bob Dunahugh

Yes,
we supply that part.
Take little trick to remove the origional and also insert the new.
Goto our web site under transmission and find it.

I find it near impossible to read the dipstick of an automatic transmission. I can't tell where the fluid level as there is always fluid "smeared"
along the dipstick. It must be my eyes because no one else seems to have an issue. I've been in electronics for near 50 years and never had an issue
reading colour codes of resistors or tiny wires.

I drilled a little hole in the dipstick at the Add and Full marks. So at hot idle in Park, if the Add hole is filled with fluid and the Full hole
isn't, I assume the level is above Add but below Full. This seems to help.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one, Bruce. Nice trick. I think I will try that myself. I thought I was doing something wrong (or just dumb as a rock
:( ) Not discounting either possibility though.
