Hello just bought a 1973 gmc from my father in law and my wife and I are doing a renovation on it . Thanks for having us. I’m sure I will have many questions

Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum.
First:
Do both us an yourself a big favor. Build a sigfile with your real name, a short about the coach and a geographic reference. The name because we like to not feel stupid when we meet you. The short about the coach including and major mods because they are not all alike and some things do matter and that is particularly true of '73s. A geographic reference is important because one of you new old friends may be in striking distance and can be a really value as a native guide.
Second:
Being here is good, joining the old forum will at least be a good read. It is less casual to work. Joining GMCMI gives access to a huge trove of information that you will be needing along the way. This is a community of helping and supportive people the likes of which may be difficult for you to accept, but take it a face value. I will give a little caution here, there are multiple pages on Facebook for GMC/TZE, but be very cautious of advice given there as some have given that that was bad or even dangerous.
Third:
You remarked that you plan to renovate the interior. After 50 years, this can be good. Please use the coach as it was designed (It was Designed with great care) before you change anything. It is difficult to make actual improvements. I do not know where you are, but try to get to a rally and look at what others (other than us - we haven't changed anything but light bulbs) have done with these coaches. Some are amazing. A warning, do not gut it and plan to make it better. We see this a lot when a gutted coach comes on the market dirt cheap because has been gutted and now has been idle so long it does not run. These go real cheap.
Last:
As said, this is a community of helping and supportive people much like that of the watermen that are my world. We do all have an agenda, and that is to see that you get to understand what your coach can do for you and the value it can have in your life. We all know this.
