Hoping to put this one to bed. The Onan is finally working the way it's supposed to.

All it took was a new Facet fuel pump from Applied GMC and a new Pertronix ignition system from Gary Bovee.

She's sitting in the driveway, purring like a kitten and running both roof AC units.

Hopefully this is the last of it.

One thing I forgot to ask Gary when I had him on the phone; can I open up the spark plug gap a little with the Pertronix ignition?

I will answer this because I have been working on this on and off for the last 12 years.....

NO

While the Pertonix mod does a lot for the regularity of the ignition, a lot of the problem is the dual fire coil is simply good for only so much.
There may be fixes for this, but Pertonix is not it.
