Doesn't GM have the last 1,000 '78s in a warehouse in Pontiac waiting on gas
prices to come back down?

If so, I just saw today that (adjusted for inflation/in constant dollars*)
gas has never been cheaper.

I'll bet we can get Dave to confirm the existence of these 'hoarded'
coaches.

I think I'll see if I can go order one.

* Let's see -- I don't know what the $@&! constant dollars are, but the
President used that term in his budget talk on C-SPAM the other day. That
means that a '78 that listed for $22,000 would cost $56,880 today. Still a
bargain compared to SOB's at $92k plus

Using your below source and MSRP price of $40K for a 78 Royale, the 1997
value (last year the calculator uses) is $103K.
