John,
There are a number of good places to start. If you really want a project, there are lots out there. Some are much more project than you might want.
You didn't give us a hint of where you are, not even a country. You can fix this in a sigfile.
For reference:
Stripped coaches that don't drive are available often for haul-it-away.
Doesn't run but still has most or the interior are high at about 3K$us.
Run's great stripped inside but safe to drive might go as high as 5K$us. (This is a very open calibration.)
As soon as you get past that, the value is completely situation dependent.
We often say (and proves true) that a reliable and ready to travel coach will cost about 30K$us. What does not get said with this but should is that sweat gets billed in at full shop rate. (Am I out of pocket 30K? - No, but I passed that mark a couple of years back.)
Now, what should you do?
There are market places at GMCMI, the local chapters, and on Fakebook. Then there is Craig's list and you may have a local "Free" rag.
It is also good to set a trap on Ebay.
Over at GMCMI there is also a link to the GMC Assist list. If you make a local contact, he might be of great value. Someplace over there, (start the research now) there is also a "What to look and what to walk away from" write up that might be of value.
When you find something, come back and tell us here or at the old forum. Someone may already know the coach.
I wish you luck.
Matt
