Hello new member posting, drove home a 77 Kingsley from Minnesota this weekend, 2000 miles and fairly uneventful. See there’s a 20 year old thread here on the coach TZE267V100627 and fairly interested in the now defunct Kingsley Coach Company

Kingsley is the interior/exterior color combination of your GMC. Page 6&7 of the 1977 brochure shows an original Kingsley interior.

When you get a chance there's a menu in the upper right corner / Account / Signature

Your "New" GMC was last seen by the registry in Eau Claire, WI. in 2012.

Gary Gary on Facebook just finished his renovation and is using it. Kelvin Dietz in Eugene is a good resource and is the president of the Cascaders GMC regional group. That group will be at Armitage Park the evening of the 17th through the 19th on their "rolling rally" if you want to stop by to "commiserate" with the cult.

Welcome to the club, @Burtman ! Congrats on finding your new coach and the successful trip back.
You're in a good spot with some knowledgeable club members around you. As Luther mentioned, Kelvin is nearby and is a good resource. James Hupy is also up in Salem, and I'm just east of Salem. I've currently got four coaches and lots of tools as well.

Kaiser Brake and Alignment; they work on multiple GMC coaches and know them well.

Just trying to give a head-start so you know who to contact if you have issues in the future. I had to make SO many calls to locate service when I needed to get my coach drive-able....

Thank You All! For such a warm welcome, I am looking forward to wrapping up my work week so I can dive into the coach. As I got into the back half of my trip home the exhaust started to get a bit noisy and I would like to diagnose the issue and start working a solution.
Overall though I was impressed with how many items still operated correctly and was grateful the cruise control didn’t fail me as I am tall and appreciated being able to stretch my legs.

Thats a very nice-looking coach you have there, ours's lacs some of that luster however we are now on our way as I just left the ODMV with plates and paperwork. We are going in Saturday morning with cleaning supplies and the work begins. Kinda exciting !!
I find that first deep clean to be some of the most rewarding work on an old vehicle!

Everything is above the rear bumper.

This is the custom mount for YMGI interior unit. Normally the mount need sufficient air space above the unit for air supply to the coil, but with the small "legs" on the top of the Starboard mount, air can come from behind the mount.
Comparing the before and after view is certainly demonstrating how beneficial the mini split heat pumps are and no furnace is necessary.
This is the bedroom's interior mini-split heat pump's unit.
In order to not have to replace the entire overhead, I plan to add a wood drop down panel for a 12vdc tv.
The same is true for the salon unit.
Without the roof top HVAC hanging down, head room is increased both physically and is more airy. Since you are tall, I assume that you would appreciate the added head room!
These are very quiet and efficient. They are 48vdc, so they can run at very low speeds and sound with no locked rotor currency surge.
Also, siting on the back of the coach they are no longer in the air stream causing lower mpg from air resistance.
This is the custom steel frame that is bolted directly to the chassis and the old mount for the spare tire. There is no load on the aluminum framed body and the center of gravity is lowered.
This is the new enclosure I am fabricating for the mini-splits.
This in process photo certainly illustrates how much improved this mini split solution is. It certainly accentuates the belt line.
When you have roof mounted hvac units the body itself is a resonating chamber for the roof mounted hvac units.
