new countertop & no oven

OK, my oven is removed, and a 2 burner cooktop installed. Any pix of how
some of you used the space? And problems encountered. Obviously I need
something to keep them rascally rodents out.
Thanks, Elmer, but I don'thave a "wascally wabbit" problem, just mice.

I closed off the wheelwell and covered the floor of the compartment with the same sharkskin grippy material I covered the counter with. We store the
NuWave oven and coffee pot in there and a gallon of water for batteries (or drinking if you like distilled). Other items come and go too, because
there is no door to hide them and make you look for them when you forgot where you stashed them for the short trip to the gas station. Don't remember
if I posted pics of that...

Do you have an inverter that will run you inductive cooktop? Do you have to
plug into surepower to get the inductive to work?

I had planned on the large inverter I have powering that inductive cooktop when I put on that countertop, but was thwarted in that maneuver and it
also cost me a small inverter in my experimentation. Built-in induction cooktops are/were prohibitively expensive, so I'm glad I did my testing before
buying one of those... 8) The unit comes on and gives you the impression that it is working but it needs a really clean sine wave to create the
resonant magnetic field. Surprisingly, my champion 2K inverter generator runs that induction cooktop just as if it was plugged into the power grid.
Wish it would run the roof air... :(

I am glad you can run it off the generator but I am looking for an inverter
that will run your PIC. I would like to upgrade my batteries and add enough
solar so I do not need to run the generator. I have 2 of those that I use
in my home. My Gas range just takes up space but we do use it for an oven
sometimes.

I pulled my oven out too. I need to finish it properly with a new countertop. For now I traced and cut a piece of plywood and fit it over the hole,
screwed metal braces underneath, wedged plywood in for a base and the back, not rodent proof. Will be easier to access when the countertop is all off
and gets replaced.

I got a small butane burner we use for coffee, soup, can bring outside for messier cooking.

I have an outdoor Camp Chef oven with two burners. No mess, no smoke etc in the GMC.

I'd kind of like to redo the whole area; but so far that's low on the priority list
