Need NC Outer banks Campground Locations

The week before Thanksgiving, my wife and I are going to take the GMC from
Elizabeth City, NC to Wilmington, NC via the Outer Banks. I have not had
much luck looking on the Internet for Camp Ground locations.

Can anyone point me to the information that I need on the net?

Tom:

Get hold of a Trailer Life Campground Directory. It lists many RV parks,
both full hook-up and not, along your route. (Woodall's probably lists them
too.) These books are sold at most RV supply stores.

Tom,

It's been a long time since I've been there, but Hatteras Sands in
Hatteras was always pretty nice. The 97 book I've got shows 919-986-2422
as the phone, but the area code may have changed. You might also try
Cape Woods in Buxton(919-995-5850) or Frisco Woods in
Frisco(919-995-5208). BTW, I believe the long ferry from Ocracoke back
over to the mainland requires reservations if you're planning that route
to Wilmington.

Thanks to those who have answered my request. I ordered the east coast
version of Woodalls but they are out of stock I have to wait until the next
printing. Meanwhile, the suggestions that I have received from GMCNet have
enabled me to locate a number of campgrounds that are on our trip path.
