I'll do a post here and to the Facebook groups. I need an intake for a '77
403 (Magnafluxing shows the old one is cracked pretty bad.) Prefer low
profile so as not to build a dog house. The rest of the engine is good, and
I have the Springfield crossover block off plates for the replacement.

Reply here, or call me on 1-844-329-2978. The number is robo-screened, so
you have to answer a simple question. You can also e-mail to mgrady at
amish bell dot com (put it all together.) Thanks in advance.

On the 403 with good body mounts and pads, an Edelbrock performer intake
manifold with a quadrajet and stock air cleaner will clear the hatch. If
you cannot locate a stock 403 manifold, this is an option for you. But,
there should be some 403 manifolds out there. Good luck.

Mark,
I can't help you with the manifold but I would like to know more about Robo screening as I am sure many others would be interested :-)

Mark,

If you block the crossovers with one of Springfield Ignitions (Dick Paterson) kits:

http://www.springfield-ignition.com/gmc-motorhome/block-off-kits/

The temperature in the lifter valley will be around 173?F:

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/aa-miscellaneous-photos/p63426-intake-manifold-internal-temp.html

You may be able to repair the crack on the lower side that faces the lifter valley and bottom of the plenum under the carb.

Thanks for everyone's reply. I did make an error in the phone number, the
correct one is 844-329-2973.

For work, we provide specialized telephone network services for various
customers. One of the platforms provides verification before processing
calls. Maybe not tonight, but you can try it in the morning.

You have to have basic GMC knowledge to pass the test and complete the call.

I have a solid lead from one source, with $50 shipping. I have another lead
closer to home that I can drive to. I'll see what else comes in and then
get moving. I wouldn't have guessed it was cracked as bad as it is.

I'm pretty sure any manifold from later 403's used well into the 80's will fit. They are aluminum and will have an EGR to block off. The 403 didn't
have a low manifold like the 455 Toronados do--it's not needed. Look at full size GM cars like 98's and 88's and you will find one.

Bob,

You want a manifold from an '82 to early '85 307 Olds motor.
