Read this carefully, if it goes through it could hurt us all. Need help
to defeat this bill. As California goes so does the Nation> Watch it.

To All,
I have a friend of a friend who is well acquainted with the Chairman of
the Transportation
Committee, Betty Karnett as well as the author of the bill Dave Cox.
He cannot get to
Sacramento on the 15th so his friend will call them that I am interested
in the bill and I will
write a letter and then visit with both of them on 6/22 when he will be
in Sacramento for
something else. He asked if there can be suggested amendments: I.E. to
exempt auto's 25
years or older and occassional sales by hobby persons. Also to have the
draft of them and
send to me by the 14th. Suggested was that in addition we exempt
vehicles that are no longer
being manufactured, ie Studebakers, De Soto, etc that were manufactured
within the last 25 years
or will be discontinued in the future (if someone has a list of brands
that fit this it would be
helpful.
If I can get this information by Mon 6/14 he can fax the letter to them
before the committee
meeting.
Do you have any suggestions? I need them ASAP.
