Steve,
After seeing your post, and liking what I saw, I bought one. I'm still working on the dinette and have a temporary table top, but it's installed and
I'm loving it. I needed a shorter horizontal arm, so I cut it down and moved the holes. I _really_ like being able to swing the table top out of the
way when sitting down or having to open up the dinette storage, and swinging the table closer when I'm sitting back watching TV and/or the laptop.
Converting the table into the bed requires undoing a ratchet handle clamp that holds the arm to the upright (I usually don't even tighten it as it's
not necessary), lifting the table top off and setting it aside, undoing the ratchet handle on the upright and removing the upright, then placing the
table top in place to complete the bed support and putting two cushions in place. The process takes me about half the time it took me to write the
previous sentence. It's quick.
The company in the UK ships quickly as well. I had the box in hand three days after ordering. I have no clue how they do it so quickly and build in
shipping to the price.
It's designed as a cockpit table on a boat, and it's not something you're going to sit on, but it's not bouncy and the hardware is stoutly made. I
expect to get many years of use out of it.
Good find, Steve. Thanks for doing the legwork!
