This is last post on this item. We simulated this failure in the
driveway and were able to duplicate the "swallowed cone" . This
happened when bag was completely deflated and bogies shifted passing
over a small rise . It can even happen from deflation alone.
Conclusion-- Late at night , the sleepy driver must have failed to
notice the leak down. I know it seems unlikely but apparently the
linkage on the left bag had the ride height on that side set very low.
So when the right bag leaked down( or possibly he bumped the "lower
right " switch somehow ) the out of level condition wasn't severe enough
to get his attention. I am considering the installation of a micro
switch and L.E.D. on his coach to signal a deflating air bag. I suppose
a pressure switches might also work . I believe even late at night , I
would have noticed this problem. But ,I don't want my parents stranded
on the road again .
Any comments or experience with such an alarm system ?
