Mystery Mail Question

This is not really a big problem, but it may be happening to others on
the list as well, on an occasional basis. It is one of those things that
you wonder, did I do something that caused that?

Every couply of weeks the "Mail Delivery System" sends me a message with
the Subject: 'Returned mail, Cannot send message within 5 days'...
Lately the reference has been a message that I sent to the GMCnet, but
Henry Davis's system has refused to accept the message for 5 days. Now I
don't think it is mailinglists.org issue but could anyone enlighten me as
to what exactly is happening. (my best guess is Henry is back east and
his mail box is getting full occasionally, but why do I get this message
only about every 2 weeks and why not every message I send when his box
is full)

I got the same message for several emails when I got back from vacation this
week. I kind of thought it might have been GMCnet related, but not sure.

Thanks Emery, Scott, Roger and all,

We may never know the full answer, but it is comforting to me to know
that others are seeing anomalies. Maybe your comments can help a few
others empty that nagging folder most of us have labeled 'Now why'd that
happen?'

Now we find out that they (Henry and Irene) were hiding out at Scotts 5
Star Campground .

I get those all the time, but I thought they only came to me. Usually
indicative of a mail server problem. I'll check with the sysadmin at
mailinglists.org to see if he knows whats going on.

OK - read John's original email again looks like an incorrectly
configured mail server at goamerica.net. Instead of returning mail to
"sender" which would be owner-gmcmotorhome(me), it's
going to the "From" header, which is jdolan

I need to get mailinglists.org to fuss at the sysadmin at goamerica.net.

That explains why it didn't happen on every message I sent to the list...
It depends on which server handled the bounce... John

Thanks Patrick...
