I replaced the driver and passenger floor and now I am putting my pedestals
back but am not sure where they go to line up with the steering wheel and
the windshield. On the passenger side I can't put the pedestal to far back
because the chair will be under the dinet cabinet. Someone out there must
have put these chairs in the motor home and gone through this already. Is
the pass. seat going to be square with the other or is it going to be back
and over to the middle more then the driver's. The driver's seat must line
up with the steering wheel or do I lean to one side like some people do in
their cars? Some mesurements or suggestions would really help. I hope to put
this anchor in use this year.

Thanks,
Bryan from Mays Landing N.J.

Are you installing the OEM pedestals? If so, I can get you some
measurements tomorrow if you still need them.

Driver's side is 2.5" from the top of the step, offset towards the driver's
side by 2" as measured from the bolt that holds down the seat belt.

Passenger side is a mirror image.

At least that's what my 76 Palm Beach is like.

My passenger side flexsteel does recline under the cabinet. I mounted the
seat as far back as I could because my wife wanted more leg room. To
recline, she pulls the seat a little forward and then reclines. If she
wants, she can then move the seat back further. IT was a bit tricky getting
everything so that they could be adjusted.

>When you guys are mounting Flexsteel reclining seats, which I want to do as

I used the original compartment pedestal. The seat mounts to the pedestal
with an adapter kit to match the stud spacing to the hole pattern in the
pedestal.. I bought my adapter kit from RV Parts Outlet.
http://www.rvpartsoutlet.com/ (see RV Furniture). I got the seats for $175
on closeout because Flexsteel was discontinuing the color pattern. I
believe that their normal price is around $240 each. CW also carries the
seats but was more expensive when I checked. Here may be better deals out
there.

Just to be clear - I reversed the adapter kit from the normal direction. No
new holes at all.
