Finally got this response. All is ok, if I ever receive the copy.

"Your back issue was mailed at the end of July. On receiving your first
e-mail we believed it was still on its way to you (slowed in the postal
system, not uncommon). We are mailing you a replacement back issue today. If
you receive both of them just pass the extra one on to another GMC
enthusiast.
