GMCers going to Marion with their rigs:
I'm posting this for any GMCers who will be arriving at the convention
in something other than their GMC. After checking around, I booked a
room at the the Sleep-Inn in Morgantown, NC just off of I-40 about 20
miles east of Marion. Since I'm coming from the east and probably won't
arrive until late Sunday night, the location is OK with me. Will stay
until Tuesday and either leave that night or sometime on Wednesday.
About a 10 hour ride from NJ for me but I'll have plenty of good music
and books-on-tape to keep me occupied. My wife can't get off work so
I'll be traveling alone -- not fun but I really want to get to the "big
show."
No other info but the person I spoke with sounded nice and the price is
$35 a night including breakfast. Should be an adventure and probably
will be OK.
If any other GMC folks decide to stay there, let me know and we can hook
up at talk "shop" even without our toys.
I plan to take plenty of videos and still photos of the coaches to use
when working on my rig next spring.
