Forgot another ICQ feature. You can rename users on your contact list to
whatever you desire. I preface GMCers by adding !GMC before their handles
so they show up first on the contact list. ( !GMC Tom -- for Tom Warner)
Not too many of us out here yet on ICQ, but that is about to change I hope
VVBG.
We can also set up ICQ chats quite easily. I was a former ICQ VW &
sometimes RV chatmaster, so it's no problem to bring everyone online
togerther with a minimum of hassle. Unless someone else wants to do it -
but trust me, it's a thankless job. So the next question is, do you guys
want a regular (scheduled) ICQ chat?
We've had up to 32 participants at the same time in some of the RV chats
last winter = if that gives you an idea of what this kind of communication
can encompass. And you can customize your fonts, etc. No more squinting
at little teeny Javasript chat screens.
