I ran a compression test last Winter. 110 to115PSI. The problem was that it ran better then those numbers. Tested my gauge today. The gauge is bad. Ran another test today. 150 to 155psi. That's high for an engine that's 45 years old, and has 104,000 miles on it.. The 455 is cleaner then it should be. Then I realized that the entire engine was painted corporate blue. It should be 1973 Olds metallic blue. The transmission is also cleaner then it should be. No leaks in either. Need to pull the fuel pump to look at the cam gear. Plastic/aluminum. Original. Cast iron. Rebuilt. Also need to pull the trans pan. Trans fluid looks new. Also has 6 new KYB shocks. Bob Dunahugh
