I've been trying to read between the lines here on Hayden fan clutches. I know
I need a new one because mine doesn't sound like the 747 that Arch describes his
as sounding like. Mine doesn't sound like anything.

It seems that some of the Hayden's are not working as well as maybe they
should. Chris's comment is not the first about a Hayden not working as
anticipated. Based on these observations I am getting tempted to buy a Cinnabar
heavy duty clutch and be done with it. Any opinions pro or con?

Arch,
Thanks for the feedback. I'll wait until this story plays out.

I hoping that you're still having a good run with the lady and a good time in
general..

I may just take my Hayden back and get the GM clutch. I have also been
thinking more about electric fans. I just repaired the radiator in my
daily driver and it has two high power electric fans that seem to move quite
a bit of air.

They could be controlled by a thermostat or a switch or both.

Has anyone done this? What are the thoughts here?

A couple more observations on the Hayden. I think I mentioned before it
stays engaged until about 45/50 MPH. I can lower the speed by getting the
RPMs up in 1st/2nd to 25/30 MPH when cold, a little higher when warm. It's
not very predictable though and I am not thrilled with it.
