What should the transmission modulator seal look like, and what size. Also, how does the holder mount? Bend away from the housing, or against it?
I have the bend away from the housong, and it seems to hold the modulator in place and solidly against the case. I've two generic O-rings on it. I
STILL get drips which libne up on the rear of the pan. It loses maybe a cup of fluid a week sitting, driving back from Augusta indicates about the
same.
It is my contention that the coach can run dry underneath. I now have the oil lines and cooler baqck in stock configuration, and no more oil leaks.
Using J.R.'s stainless braded hoses and stainless pipes. The pan has had a new gasket and black sealer listed for transmissions, I don't think that's
where it's oozing.
What kind of seal is >supposed< to be on the modulator? The book shows a seal without being real specific.

Johnny,
I had my modulator out more than a couple of times this past summer. It had just a single O ring. It did not leak, but it was not snug, I could turn
it when the bracket was tight. We tried to bend the forks of the bracket a couple of times, then it snapped. Luckily I was at Al Hamilton's and he had
a spare tranny so I got the bracket from it.

Finally put a new modulator on and fixed my shifting issue and now this one is snug (doesn't turn)

I'm away from home otherwise I'd measure the O ring from the old modulator for you.

the NAPA crossed to a Cardone HELP! package of Viton o-rings. The NAPA is .103 thick, the Cardone is .106. I dont thin 3/100 of an inch is gonna
matter. Anyhow, one on it was broken so I expect this will stop the drip. I hope :) I'll run it up to the Dixielander's 30th tomorrow and see if it
stays dry.

Followup - A trip to Chattanooga and partway home shows no leaks or drops. I think I've beat this one.
