Thomas G. Warner, When an engine is run,as the New York cab fleets
are,the engine oil NEVER cools down! This does not ALLOW codensation to
form, thus no acidic formation and No Coagulation of the molecules in the
oil.All of these reaction will kill an engine over time. Our engines, if
maintained, are mostly in the 100k range. The reason is most if not all of us
don't drive them 4 to 6 miles to the store for a gallon of milk! We startem
up and drive to Casa De Fruta . OBW,the cab fleet I was
talking to did not use oil filters, none, nada. When a unit was in for service
they dropped the pan, cleaned same, visually inspected the bottom end,put a
new gasket on and reinstalled!! At least thats what was going on in the mid
