If there ain't an Autozone in Chattanooga, somethin's wrong. Autozone
is headquartered in Memphis!

Oh, I didn't mean I couldn't find an Auto Zone---just the Mobil 1 grease. We've
got plenty of AZ's here in Chattanooga but they only stock the oil. As usual,
today I was hoping to find one of the recommended synthetics for the front wheel
bearings but could only come across a few tubes of the Valvoline synthetic at
NAPA.. And unfortunately the Valvoline web site offers none of the detailed
technical spec.s that Amsoil , Redline or Mobil 1 do and I can't compare it to
those tried and true greases. . So unless I drive to Atlanta tomorrow (they've
got speed shops there and Honest Charlie's went out of business here years ago)
I'll have to wait until Monday for the Mobil stuff.. The Valvoline may be as
good or better but its not worth the chance of possibly messing up some good
bearings. sigh.....

Understand that it comes in the tube and not in a can.

Re: Amsoil , Redline or Mobil 1... If you really want/need to do it this
weekend, I'd be tempted to go down to one of your performance shops
in town, that probably have some that they use in the shop, and offer the
Saturday morning guy a two/for... show him your AutoZone order and
give him what a tube costs at retail, and tell him you'll bring back in a fresh
tube as soon as they ship your supply in.Monday or Tues and he can keep
the deposit. If you're from Tennessee they'll trust you and do you a
favor, no?

Good suggestion, John, but when Super Shops closed last year we are out of
perfomance shops in Chattanooga at the present. I may be headed to Atlanta or
Nashville where they still have such businesses if I decide that only Redline or
Amsoil will work.. I'm sure I can order some Mobil 1 at the Auto Zones here
otherwise.

Amsoil was/is a network/MLM business. Check the telephone book under Amsoil, and see
if there is an independant distributor in your area, who would love to have your
business and give you great service to boot.
