In the literature he advised using Mobilil 1, Amzooil, Syntec, and torco
racing, and says he has never had an engine failure while using any of the
three. I am not sure is Mobil 1 comes in 20W-50 grade?

The Mobil 1 web site says to follow your vehicle manufacturer's suggested
oil change intervals. It does seem like it oughta last longer though. I
think I'll change this first application after a couple thousand miles,
then I'll probably go further between changes. It mostly would depend on
what the oil looks and smells like on the dipstick.

Thomas:

Which literature and page number are you referring to?? I have Mondello's
tech manual Vol 1, and parts catalog. Haven't found anything discussing oil
usage so far.

He recommends 20W-50 motoroil, unless you drive in the winter.He says that
we should have 35-45 # of oil pressure at idle and 55-65 at full throttle.
And guess what? He recommends mobil 1!!! No engine failures for him while
using it.

Its not in the tech manual. He also sent me copies of his tech writings
(about 11 of them), one of which was titled "Performance lubricants for
Performance cars".
