A short time ago I told of the bad experience with Michelin tires, had 2 go
bad on the same day. David Greenberg suggested that I tell Michelin about
it and I did, in an e-mail telling them what happened. I wasn't interested
in warranty service since the tires were old and I was going to replace them
anyway when I stored the coach this winter, they were 16.5" X-Ca tires.
Boy, Michelin jumped on my e-mail to them quicker than a duck on a junebug.
Called me the very next working day at 9:00AM, and offered to give me 2
brand new ones for the ones that have failed (they wanted them to analyze) ,
and 50% off for the other 5. Michelin even told me that they were 12 years
old!!!! Maybe they just wanted to get them off the road,LOL!
Bottom line is that I got the new tires installed at National Tire and
Battery (NTB) Monday, 7 of them, new 225 75R16 10 plys, XPS for a total cost
of $382.74 installed on the new Alcoas (I paid for those from Gateway who I
highly recommend). As a said before, felt like a thief all the way home.
Felt a lot better when I saw them on the coach. What a difference.
Thanks Dave for the suggestion, if not for you I would have paid big bucks
for them.
