I may, after lurking on this list for about 3 years, be finally getting
close to buying my very own GMC (don't worry, Dave; I'll send the numbers)
and could use a little advice.

First, what's the latest on the wheel deal? I recall that there was a price
increase not too long ago; what's the current price?

And can someone tell me the best price for Bilstein shocks (and part numbers
too if you don't mind?)

Reply off-list if you like.

Thanks in advance!

Travis

Subject: Price Increase
The production of Peterbilt, Mack and Kenworth tractors has created a shortage
of 22.5" and 24.5" wheels. In return 16" wheels have become less available due
to production schedules. As the shortage continues our cost of handling per
wheel also continues to increase. Price increases will be implemented effective
January 24, 2000.

As of January 24, 2000 the pricing is as follows:
160231 - $135.54 each
Set of six or more - $125.00 each $725.00
Center Cap - 003611 - $10.06 each
Lug Nuts - 139987 - $2.93 each
Lug Covers - 000190 - $1.87 each
Alcoa Accessories Kit
for 6 wheels - $210.00
Kit includes (6) Alcoa
center caps, (48)
lug nuts, (48) lug covers.

F.O.B. Dallas, Texas $ 60.00
, Thank you, Darrick Sweeden $995.00

New prices as of 11-15-99
Classic Wheel (each) $115.52
* LTS Wheel (each) ($121.47)
Accessories (per 2 wheel set)
(includes 2 center caps,
16 nuts, 16 nut covers) 60.00
Sub Total per Axle (Classics) $145.52

Times 6 (6 Wheel Set) $873.12
Plus aprox. Shipping
(per set of 6) 60.00
Equals to a full set of
Alcoas on your porch
for only TOTAL - $933.12

* The LTS wheel is more readily available, but is not recommended for our
coaches.
Click here for the Alcoa web site. The LTS is the spoked wheel.

Travis......

Don't hold out fo one that won't cost you too much to make ship-shape. That
model never made it to production. ;-)

ps: Hey Roger, weren't you lookin' for a good deal on a 23'? Check out the
