Remember you can pick your friends but not your GMCnet'ers !
Whoever is in charge of stupid questions today, would you give this
one a go.........
Last year, when wandering around ( I'm short) under my '77 Kingsley,
I discovered this pump looking thing attached to my holding tank by a
rubber hose. One end was held by the hose and the other by a
combination of a coat hanger and a knotted tube. No electrical wires
dangled in the immediate vicinity. As it didn't drip, drag, or
spark, and being no relation to Sherlock Holmes, I left well enough
alone ! It appears the mystery has been solved !!
OK...now the questions..
Assuming, like everything else, it needs a total rebuild; how many
different manufacturers were there and what is part availability?
What was the usual set-up? Where was the power switch generally
located, where was the hose connection, and what size and length
discharge hose is required ?
And now for the best....Under what circumstances would one use such a
"device"?
Thanks

Just as an afterthought, and being a Scotsman, what are these things
worth? ( Imagine a Scotsman interested in costs and driving a GMC!)
