The "and I" is operative here!!!

Correctomondo!!! Just like the GMC, a little TLC and "preventive
maintenance" goes a long way here!!! and to boot, odds are, You'll enjoy
it!

> Any suggestions on some good day trips in the area?

Sorry Marcus, I'm not at all familiar with the area. Fact is, I don't
know exactly where Marion is.
Many people in this area, (N.W.Fl.), visit the Smokey Mountain area near
that time frame to see the colors(leaves).
N.C. in general is good for antiques, which I particularly like. If
You're into that, You'll have to get off the beaten path to find the
best deals. I'll ask around about sights worthy of our limited time
there.
Have Fun, Tim

If anyone is interested in antique shopping, downtown Hendersonville,
located about 20 miles sof Ashville, has some neat stores. I visited
there this pst April. They are scattered all throughout the downtown
area, on the main street. There is even one store, which sells
refurbished Coca Cola coolers/vending machines. It is on the e side of
the downtown main street, on the souterly end.

You may be interested in touring the Biltmore mansion and grounds.
Admission is around $30, so you may want to spend a little more time
there. Even if you don't want to spend that kind of money, stop by
there visitor center. It is relatively new and the parking lot is big
enough to park coaches. Inside, they have a rather large scale model
(about 15 or 20' square) of the grounds. That part is free. They also
have a short video about the place you can watch.

Of course, w of Ashville, it is very touristy as you're in the Smokey
Mountains area. There is spectacular mountain scenery all throughout
the Smokey Mountains.

Marcus,
As it turns out, my mothers family is from Marion and I have a house there.
I made some calls last week to my uncle and asked for a list of good local
color restaurants and local attractions in the area for us to perouse.
Will post it as soon as I have it.

I'm really looking foreward to the rally and hope many people will come.
