I am an automotive engineer and in the course of my work I ran across a product that Ford and others use to coat manifold bolts so they can be removed. It is an aluminum ceramic coating good for in excess of 1000 degrees F and apparently works pretty well. In fact I understand some manifolds are coated with this stuff. It is called Sermagard and is made by Sermagard Coatings in PA somewhere. I know the subject of manifold bolt removal comes up once in a while, but the volume of information here has been so large that I no longer read much of it, so maybe someone else has already covered this subject to everyone's satisfaction. If anyone would like more information, please contact me on my email at rrs
Thanks, Ray Swartzendruber
