Macerator wet

The implication in the repairman's statement "...the Macerator like to
have water in it at all times" may have been water or water and
antifreeze. HOH is strong stuff, an engine water jacket is not rugged
enough to withstand freezing. My guess is that the exclusion of air
(ozone and other strong oxidants) by surrounding the impeller with water
and RV antifreeze will slow the hardening (which is most probably
oxidation) process.
