Yes a macerator pump is the way to go. Just installed a Jabsco model
18590-0000 which has been #1 for 20 years. Can't describe the plumbing in
detail here, 1 1/2" hose in and 1" hose out, but it's wired with a Ford type
starter solenoid direct from the fuse panel with two momentary contact
push-button switches, one inside the right rear compartment and one at the
drivers side panel, that energize the relay. They are available on the
internet from marine supply houses but I bought mine from Boat US right here
in Naples, FL at the same price. $149.95. (Camping World price would have
been over $200 with the 1 1/2" hose adapter that I wanted).
I have some info on the KATT (kit for automatic towing) from the web site of
P&E Industries. Does anybody out there have experience with the concept of 2
extra quarts of fluid in the auto trans for 4 wheel towing? I'm looking to
tow a '95 Chrysler LeBaron convertible possibly using the KATT system
instead of the Remco pump.
Thanks for any feedback..... Don
