Macerator Hose

Good evening all,

I am trying to find the best option on a 1" macerator hose? Any opinions on what type hose works best?

I am trying to keep it attached to the macerator and stow it in a sub-frame tube.

I have been using a 3/4” garden hose for years.
I bought a 50 foot red rubber hose from Home Depot years back. I cut it in half and fastened the half with the male hose end to the macerator by using a 1” to 3/4” adapter. That adapter was not in the plumbing section of Home Depot but I found it in the lawn sprinkler section. I purchased a short piece of 1” hose to fasten between the macerator and the adapter.
I used a brass cap to screw onto the end of the drain hose.

I rolled up the other 25 foot piece of hose with the female hose end and stored in the propane compartment. If I need more length to reach a drain I just screw that piece onto the end of the macerator hose.
I store the macerator hose in a 20 foot piece of 1-1/4” pic which I fastened to the driver’s side frame.

The 3/4” hose is more than adequate for a drain hose. One time I even put a 25’ length of 5/8” garden hose between the two 25’ lengths of 3/4” hose. There was no problem pumping out the tank.

This one's worked well for us. We ran a hard 1" pipe to the RR bumper area, then the hose stored in a 2"? PVC electrical conduit that started next to
the 1" pipe, went across the back to a air of 45s and then forward to the first cross member.

I used a 1 inch poly suction hose. I cut it and attached one end to the macerator output and brought the female quick connect fitting up between the Onan and battery. I attached a PVC 1/4 turn ball valve to the other section of the hose and added an adapter to a garden hose fitting (just in case I ever need to attach *more* than 20 ft of hose).

My initial plan was to disconnect the poly hose and put a plug in the quick connect between dumps. But that was never necessary - the entire hose rolls up nicely between the Onan and battery. I close the valve and just roll it up, with the valve sitting in behind the battery.

It works amazing well. I *almost* enjoy heading to the Sani-Dump these days.

I have a 1978 Royale with a black tank as well as a grey tank. So I had to
connect a mascerator in the extreme rear of the coach on the driver's side.
There is a angle frame member that leaves a tri-angled space that is just
big enough for the mascerator. I used a hole saw and bored a hole in the
long frame member on the drivers side and plumbed the outlet of the
mascerator through the hole and terminated the plumbing right next to the
3" slinky connection. Capped it with a male garden hose threaded connector
and a 1/4 turn shut off just ahead of the hose connector. I put the on/off
switch and fuse holder in the generator compartment behind the louvers. I
just open the door, and flip the switch. I use a piece of 3/4" rubber
hose to connect to the dump station. Have not even had the 3" slinky out of
its sheath for years. Would never go back to no mascerator.
Hint: I always drain the black tank first and follow it with the grey
tank. That rinses the system out very well.

I avoid the BC Parks dumps for bigger reasons than that!

Having said that - this last season was almost an all time high for me:
*three* BC Parks dumps! It's getting hard to find open Sani-Dumps these
days...

The owner of the place where I keep ol' Leaky installed a personal dump station for me last month - how about that, Rob! :p
