This GMCnet has been a great resource of information for all of
us. I challenge this group to come up with a replacement for the
negative term "Lurker".

Scott, I'm a semi-lurker and the term lurker does not bother me at all. I
own up to being mechanically inept and computer illiterate, I enjoy this Net
and do manage a comment on occasion.

Norm,
Sideline Challenged?

You hit the nail on the head, or busted the right knuckle with that line.
That's the whole point of this site. We are all "Sideline Challenged" one
way or the other. We have a "group brain trust" that beats Einstein. If
the answer can't be found, the second generation of some are asked as was
the question on the water pump and cavitation passed on to a son, who then
passed it on to an "expert." You can't buy that kind of information
anywhere.

Everyone has a question sometime. ASKING is the only way to get information
on it. Much of this goes right over my head, but when my "Lady" finds me,
you can bet I'll ask until I understand the answer, then make my decision.
Everyone has something to offer. You may be holding a question back that
everyone else would like to ask themselves, but don't. One can always go
direct to anyone on this site for answers if they don't want to post
publicly.

Everyone has local information that can be helpful to someone in need of
help with their GMC. That's the whole idea of the Black List. You may be
able to offer invaluable assistance to someone on this site in need of help
in a strange place.

It's tough to be on the cutting edge as this site is.{:>)

But home to the Black List

Some of the benefits of "lurking" can be summarized by one of my favorite
sayings:
"When I speak, I repeat what I already know. When I listen, I learn."

- -Larry Price

Or one could say " When I speak, I am sharing my knowledge with someone else
in the hopes of making a friend that will later help me in return"

Welcome Len. I am very impressed with the work you
have accomplished is a relatively short time period.
My list of accomplishments since Apr would be very
short. I have found the net to be a great resource
for things I don't know much about (that's a lot).
