So far this is what I have found out. Roll bar is required. But no one is
willing to say just what is required. But they will inspect it when we get
there and pass judgment on it. Same way with the fuel system and the fire
suppression system and etc.., etc... First thing. I think it will require a
dedicated unit. Not just a mater of one of us showing up and making a run.
'O for the good old days ) I'm not trying to discourage any one and I would
be glad to donate time and money towards this project. I think the right way
to go is like we started out. Take up a collection and buy a hulk. Then we
could sell advertising space on the side of this behemoth.(Don't forget auto
and hot rod shows.) If we were to run this like the old hot rod clubs it
would be self perpetuating and if one of us wanted to go camping and drop
out of the project there would be another club member to take up the slack.
I really think this is a doable deal and I am planning to attend the salt
flats this summer just to see how it really goes.

that's my .02

Great idea Lanier...

This is the 25th anniversary of one of the years (74). GM may want to be
the major sponsor of both a completely stock and an unlimited coach.
They need something to spur their van sales (it's embarrassing for them)
