As promised, here is the access number and the Personal Identification
Number (PIN) for one of our conference bridges:
1). Dial 219-831-6700.
This is a digital bridge, so you *may not* hear the line ring.
2). You will hear two short tones, one high and one low.
These tones are short.
3). You have 5 seconds to enter your PIN number 4621. (GMC 1)
4). You are now in the conference.
5). If you mis-enter your PIN, you will hear 3 short tones,
(hi-med-lo) then the two short tones again. You get 3 tries.
6). If you mis-enter your PIN and it matches another conference,
You will join that conference. You need to hang up and try again,
(unless you find that conference more interesting.)
7). When you are on the conference, one short beep means another person
has joined. Two short beeps (hi-low) means someone has dropped off.
There is no operator assistance on this PIN. If you don't get connected,
just hang up and try again.
This is a very busy bridge, and there are a lot of PINs in the data base. If
you mis-enter a PIN, you could end up setting alone in idle conference. The
bridge is also in the evenings and on weekends by many area churches for
shut-in worship services as well as other not-for profit groups. It is also
used by telephone industry groups, so it is busy most of the time.
The PIN authenticator can get behind sometimes. You will hear music before
the beeps. You need to put your PIN in quickly, you only have 5 seconds.
An easy way to avoid on the hour and half hour congestion is to schedule
your calls for :55 or :05, or :25 and :35 start times.
If you have any problems, let me know by e-mail, or if you need to call,
800-559-4654 ext 7133.
The bridge is available for GMC discussion whenever anyone wants to use it.
Now, lets get going and get this Class A speed record in the books.
We've got work to do, and the tools to get it done!
