Doing a pre-trip check out before we go to the 49ers Rally next week and had to track down a LP leak.
Tracked it down to the Vapor Pol Valve stem (Shut off valve) on the tank when it's fully open. I tried tightening the nut and that slowed it down but
no banana. The maintenance manual says to replace the stem assembly. (P/N 703510) Does anyone know if there is replaceable packing or o-ring and where
I can get one or a complete valve assembly? Or a complete valve that will work.
TIA
or and or and and or and ... That can't be grammatically correct.

Contat a LPG supplier and see if they have a service dept.
Normally if you open the valve all the way, it will quit leaking.

I had my LP tank out during my rebuild. Since I was replacing about everything that had any type of function. Igot a new 2 stage regulator from Applied. Took the tank to the Linn County COOP. Valve was $32 installed Bob Dunahugh

I was at a RV seminar few years ago and was told to replace the pressure
regulators that are more than 20 years old. Lot of the older ones cannot be
adjusted to increase flow.

Thanks guys. I'll try to get to a local supplier next week. My tank is almost full so I may be donating gas to the other coaches next weekend to empty
mine.

Jerry,
These places have a way of evacuating the gas and then puting it back in.
So do not be concerned. Just call and locate a dealer that can do the job
with a full tank.

Blossman Gas (SE propane dealer) told me there's a rebuild kit for that valve. They also told me since it's brass, you should use the special tool to
remove it. They told me this after I had already deformed mine with a regular wrench getting it off. So I bought the entire valve from them.
(Stupid is its own best reward). Ask a dealer if they carry the kit. It's all the rubber parts at least.

Johnny, Do you still have the P/Ns for the valve and rebuild kit? Are they still the original P/Ns or different?

That was over a year ago, and I can't remember last week. I took the valve to the store, it's a coupe or three miles on the highway. Today I'd go to
the propane store and ask if you brought the tank could they get the valve off and put a new one for the price of the new one? Or bring the tank and
borrow his valve taker offer. Worst case is you bend it up and take the bent one and he sells you a new one. I think you can rebuild it without
taking it out of the tank.

Thanks for getting back to me. I took my coach by the only supplier around here who would even listen. He had no way of reclaiming the gas but fiddled
with the valve and got it to stop leaking. Basically worked the valve in and out until it stopped leaking. He said its a temporary fix but will work
for a while.
He said use up the gas and he would take it apart and see what needs to be done. In the mean time, I'll keep a close watch on it.
