Hello All

Fellows are you aware of the negatives with a screen door. Cut
back the floor 1", adjusting and cut outs for main and screen door,
difficulty in closing the main door from the inside, compared with
non screen version, the inability to change window treatment when
main door is closed.....don't get me wrong, they're great, but the
multi-sectional screens that hang from top to bottom might do.

As a Nor'Easter once said to me....for every improvement, you'll run
into negatives....deside what you can live....

My thoughts...$.02 US equals $.03 CDN

Try Alex Sium or Jim Bounds. I think I saw one at Sirums the last time I
was there.

You do take the strap off when you have the screen door on. I have a
little clasp that I hold the door latched open so the screen is used to go
in and out. Here in the southwest, we get lots of bugs, so having the
screen door is a real blessing. Good luck

This thread has included comments regarding possible disadvantages of
the screen door. One I've wondered about is how do you mount the safety
strap to the entrance door if the screen door swings out with entrance
door as a unit? Seems like the screen door would interfere with the
strap. On the other hand, bugs might not be such a problem if the wind
is blowing hard enough to snatch the entrance door from you hands---in
which case you wouldn't need a strap. Anyone following any of this?
