> There are 2 body styles in 5 Trim levels available for the 1992 tracker. We owned and towed an 1989 Convertible 2Dr 4X4 and towed it for several years. Great car for towing, terrible for long distance only good for short distance drives. When we took our 77 Eleganza II to be painted at Topeka Graphics, it was a 200+ mile drive and it almost beat us up. Also had a GMC Jimmy which is a slightly larger version of the GEO Hardtop. The best Tracker we towed was the 2001 thru 2005 Chevy Tracker hardtop 4DR 4WD also the Suzuki was the same vehicle with better trim options.

> The only towable version would be the 4 X 4 version ( Convertible 2DR 4X4, LSi Convertible 2DR 4X4 and the Hardtop DR 4X4 ) with the 5 speed with 4 wheel drive shift lever. The front hubs must be in good condition for everything to work correctly. They can be frozen with internal corrosion because of no maintaince in the in the 2WD position or the 4WD position and you should be able to switch between the 2 positions with your fingers. Again they need to be in working condition and replacements are available at a reasonable cost and rebuilding them can be difficult.

> The base plate at the time we towed the 1989 was not available and most that we new made their own and I got the tow bar itself. Here are the available parts for tow bars that are reasonable in cost.

>> Good morning, all;
>>
>> I recently came across a completely original 1992 tracker, and I'm thinking about purchasing for a toad.
>>
>> I was wondering if anybody has a base plate for one of these old girls hanging around in the shop they might be interested in parting with?
