Hey Troops.....Have any of you tried to siphon gas out of your GMC? With
the tanks as low down as they are and as far back as they are, I believe
you'd need a 20 foot long hose and you'd have to be down in a well with
your "cheater" can to get anything other than fumes......Jim Davis, Lots of
rain on the Oregon coast.

Jim

I purchased a locking gas cap from NAPA as a deterrent to introduction of
"unwanted" fluids, solids, etc. I agree that it would be extremely
difficult to siphon fuel via the filler. When I dropped my tanks for
maintenance, I gave up on the siphon route real quick (fleeting thought) and
pulled the drain plugs on the tanks.

I've heard of gasoline being introduced into fresh water systems - that's
why I prefer to keep all of my systems locked.

Hi Jim,
I siponed mine from the hose connecting at the front tank. I had the coach
up
on jackstands and used five gallon cans to hold the gas. I couldnt get the
drain plugs out of the tank.
