Leveling Valves..... Because of leaks, I have never used the automatic leveling valves to set drive height but rather manually raised and lowered
using the shutoff valves. Now that I've finally chased down the leaks, I'd like to use the AUTO position to lower to ride height. I have to raise the
coach to get to my house, and would like do the lowering to drive position task once on the road. I the automatic heights on the parking pad and found
that it adjusts accurately - but only when raising. When lowering, it ends up about an inch high. Is this deadband normal, and if so, any tips for
adjusting aside from adjusting so that it lowers to drive height rather than raising to ride height?

According to the manual you are supposed to run auto for 5 minutes while driving...i guess it allows the system to balance everything correctly...i
gather its not instant.

If you read any threads on here about ride height adjustment they will say to:

-check rear ride height after driving and if found to be not correct make an adjustment then road test then recheck....do this till it is
correct....Ken H i believe stated in his post that it takes usually 3 times to get this correct.

- once rear is set...block the rear at this height and proceed to front adjustment.

So i have to assume then that just simply putting it in auto in your driveway will not give you the result you want and i think it hits the mark when
raising because we are adding air which allows the system to balance side to side the load where as when we remove air it cant balance the 2 sides
until it see's suspension or compression changes in the bags. JMHO

[i know on my coach the best AUTO result was when i drove the coach on a 7 mile gravel washboarded road leaving the Park in auto...the coach was
perfect to drive, it actually felt different from just doing the same thing on pavement leaving a Park]

The previous posting is entirely correct. You need to set it to auto (I leave mine is auto) and drive it for while. The corrections are done on a
delay built into the switches. Also it will correct for crosswind and crown of the road changes. So if possible drive on an Interstate on a minimal
wind day and pull in to the truck parking area of a rest area t. They are usually very flat. Measure it there and adjust as nnecessary.
