Thanks for your response. I have no idea how to check to see if my air
lines are installed wrong but after meeting the previous owner I doubt if
that is the problem. I just think something is stuck and will not allow the
left side to deflate. I had an enjoyable visit with your webb site. Plan
to return. Keep up your work.

We are going to butt in on this for just a second. We had our GMC
for a little over a year before we found out that our left side air bag
had not been deflating or inflating. It was just there. Being that we
did not know squat (and that is still questionable) about the GMC,
we just thought that was the way it worked. We developed a leak
in the height control assembly on the left side. While we were
working on it, we discovered that it would not deflate, and the
problem was that the air lines were installed wrong on the control
valve itself for that side only. If we remember correctly, the raise
and lower hoses were swapped. So really, the control was not
doing anything. We made the correction, and since then it has
worked great!
BTW - On the e-mail and traveling. We don't know what really is
best. We tried cell and not only was it expensive, but if there was
any interference we were booted off.
We bought the digital modem (the one we still have for sale) and
subscribed to Zapt-It, the company that GoAmerica bought out. It
was reasonable and you only had to download what mail you
wanted. The monthly service was $9.95 plus $.25 per 500
characters that were downloaded, but you could check your e-mail
as often as you wanted and there was no charge to read the
headers. This was great for areas that are covered by digital
service plus you got a personal voice mail with an 800 number free.
But GoAmerica bought them out and it really became too
expensive for us.
Now we are trying this Sharp TelMail TM-20. So far it meets most
of our needs. We could not find this "toy" in any stores around
here (State College, PA), so we had to order it from Tiger Direct.
We have only been playing with it for three weeks. With the
service being $9.95 a month with no other charges, it will keep us
in touch. Who knows, next week they may have something
BIGGER and BETTER that we will "NEED."
