Found caliper info (80 MM '84 Chevy C-20 with JB-7 Brakes) in another post, but am wondering if anyone knows how to source the rotors? Mine are
barely worn, but eventually I will need new and am hoping to ID and source them well before that happens. They are 12.5 OD with an 8 x 6.5 inch stud
pattern. Disc thickness is 32MM. Overall rotor height is 82MM. Center opening diameter is 130MM.

I'm the proud new owner of George and Alice Scott's 23' Crestmont (Santa Barbara, CA). Drove the coach home to Baltimore, MD last December. Special
thanks to Miguel at MGM GMC for checking her out before the trip. BTW, Miguel refused payment for the inspection and the hour he spent on the phone
filling me in on his findings - knowing full well the coach was heading to the east coast. What the heck - who does that? Hope to visit him in LA
one day to make it right.

ears ago, I remember everyone saying the Harrison brakes used a Ford rotor.
That's all I know about them.

Miguel is one of the sharpest GMC guy in the West.
We bounce off lot of issues with him and he is truly a wonderful person.
Being said, I tell him that he does too much free stuff for people and
somtimes neglects the ones that has been there at the shop for weeks.
We tend to do the same, but at least we have 2 1/2 technicians so we can do
little better.
You were fortunate to have found him.
We refer people in Southern CA to him always.

If that is indeed the needed disc, RockAuto has some interesting
information, once you figure out how to get to it. A Google search
revealed a Raybestos application guide. From there, arbitrary selection of
1987 Chevy R20 Suburban was made. Selecting that at Rockauto didn't lead
to any disc or rotor reference until I entered "87 chevrolet r20 brake
disc" in the search window. Then, a MUCH expanded brake parts list
appeared, including 8 alternatives to the Raybestos 5010R. Among those are
items specified for heavier duty use. Try it. I just did it out of
curiosity & learned something about searching RockAuto -- don't take the
absence of a listing by vehicle for them not having what you want -- not my
first time learning that.

Gary,

The Harrison system did use a Ford 12.5 inch rotor. I have the part number out in the shop and will post that tomorrow. Too Cold and Dark and too late to run out and get it.

Attached is the photo album when I went thru and replaced and painted the Leigh Harrison system I have on our coach.

Gary,

Had a sudden flash and remembered that the part number that I used at AZ was a 5445 with an alternate part number of 81-60394 and it fits 159 different Ford fitments.

F250 3/4 ton P/U 4WD 1976 thru 1998 & F350 1 ton P/U 4WD 1979 thru 1994

I don't recall seeing your name here before. Nice to see you have included
a 'signature' line listing your coach. Could you also add where you live?

Have you given your TZE number to Jon Shotwell: registermygmc
And have you signed on for the "Black" List: http://bdub.net/Black_List/

Business over...welcome aboard !

John,
(I cheated and accessed your profile.)

Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum....

You have most of a good sigfile. But please add the Baltimore that appears in the header because fully half of the participants of this group do not
use the forum, but get it as email that does not have that header. You can use the alias if you choose, but please put a real name in the sigfile.
This will help when you meet other owners because they will have some idea who you are.

Oh, and be cautious with anything someone outside of this group says. Most have no idea how different a 23 can be and there can be important
difference. And, this really matters with interior things done by Crestmont (Midas).

Now, the important thing is that you found your way here. Like it or not, you just collected several hundred brand new old friends. They are all
willing to assist you as best they can. (Have downloaded and printed the "Black" aka GMC assist list?) It is an amazing community. They are all
supportive and helping people to a level that would be unbelievable if I did not know another like this. As that other is the community of watermen
of my world, I have taken to welcoming all new owners that show up here as any new owner or vessel is welcomed there. So,

May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.

Welcome John (Wackster)

Matt

Michael,

Quick answer is yes and no. I'll get on the "Blacklist" registration this weekend. Thanks for that suggestion, it was not on my to do list. As for
the Registry, John Shotwell provided this prior owner history:

Faulkner, F, Washington, DC no dates of ownership
Wyland, R, CA no dates or city
Shinn, W F, CA no dates or city
Scott, George (Doc) E & Alice, Santa Barbara, CA ??-12/16
James (& Diane) Wack, Baltimore, MD 12/16 to present

J.R. Wright gets the prize. The AutoZone website provides dimensions and the link provided takes me to a Ford rotor that matches the actual part off
of my Leigh Harrison system. I'm very encouraged by the number and quality of all your replies. I knew there were other nut jobs out there that
thought driving and maintaining a 40 year old RV was actually fun, but didn't think it would be this easy to connect with all of you. Thanks again
for your time and for helping me keep this old girl rolling (and stopping).

Thanks for the advice Matt. I'll get back in and tweak my signature per your suggestion. Thank you also for the heartfelt welcome. Looking forward
to crossing paths with many of you in the months and years ahead.

John,

The power of this community is impressive, isn't it. This is just a shadow of the support you can get here.

I am continually amazed.

Bill,
Read my posts from earlier, I provided the part numbers for several suppliers and a link to the photo album on when I rebuilt my Harrison system.
